Due to the clients continued growth, canary wharf was selected to expand their operations by fitting out 12 floors to their requirements. The project was due to be completed in 16 weeks and kentex services, with their ‘can do’ philosophy was selected to deliver. 
All existing LPHW & CHW services were fed from 4No existing heat exchanger skid type units to each level. 


Existing fan coil units were positioned including the installation of 250No new fan coil units to our clients floor plans. Positioning had also taken into account kentex services producing dynamic heating & cooling loads, our design consultants having checked the existing fan coil unit capacities were repositioned. 
Kentex services installed LPHW & CHW crimped type pipework to the new fan coil unit position from the landlords HEX units 2No BMS control panels were installed to each floor level which control and monitors each fan coil unit, for BREEAM credits the BMS also monitors the various electrical, heating, chilled & water meters. 
Additional fresh air was installed to 2No levels to make up for a short fall in the landlords fresh air allowance. Positioning of the new air handling unit was a complex procedure due to the fit out guide, goods lift dimensions and vehicle restrictions in the loading bay. 


The client presented kentex services 2No situations for us to overcome, situation A was a 100% validation of all existing LPHW/CHW PICV’s, fresh air supply/extracts and all secondary ventilation to over 800No fan coil units and 12 floors of equipment. The situation was to complete within 2 weeks, the solution was kentex services provided a validation and witnessing programme to work 24 hours a day to achieve this Situation B was for the project to handover within 16 weeks which included dynamic flushing to all BSRIA guidelines on 12 floors. 
At the peak of this project kentex services had over 40No pipe fitters working to provide a commissioning period to enable flushing and balancing of all systems. Regular team meetings with all kentex foreman/supervisors/H&S advisor was crucial to keep reviewing our installation and commissioning programme
